You didn’t apply to play professionally because you were ready to retire.

Now there’s a new opportunity opening, one that has never existed before in the history of softball.

 

This summer, the Professional Softball League (PSL) is launching a Kansas City–based Professional Development Team for post-college athletes who aren’t done competing, growing, or chasing the next level.

 

This is a new application

This is not the PSL roster

This is the pathway to it

 

Why This Changes Everything

Fourteen athletes will be selected nationwide to compete on the Professional Development Team.

 

Those athletes will:

- Play a 25-game schedule

- Have every game streamed live

- Be tracked with full statistics and scoring

- Be evaluated by every professional softball franchise

- Be eligible for call-ups during the PSL season by ANY team

- Be seen and evaluated ahead of league expansion in 2027

- Have opportunities to be invited to 2026 exhibition teams as      new franchises prepare to launch

A True Pro Environment

This is not a summer league, and it is not a step backward

 

Selected athletes will:

- Train and practice alongside PSL organizations

- Compete against top college and post-college talent 

- Have access to full on-site workout facilities

- Have the option to report early and attend Spring Training                opportunities

- Be surrounded by a professional development environment              built for advancement

 

There will also be job opportunities available for athletes interested   in working while competing.​
